There are many detrimental factors which can affect your sexual health. The reason for this stems from the fact that there are many factors that negatively influence the balance of your body. However, some special factors like alcohol and smoking have been shown to be quite detrimental to your sexual health.

Especially alcohol has been proven to be quite detrimental to males. According to various medical researches, it has been demonstrated that consumption of more than one serving of alcohol can directly cause a male to have an erection problem. Of course, there is an urban legend that says consumption of alcohol can cause you to increase your sexual appétit and sexual desire. However, although consumption of alcohol may decrease various social inhibitions, there isn’t any scientific evidence that shows consumption of alcohol can increase your sexual libido. In fact, just the opposite, the consumption of alcohol will indirectly effect your blood pressure, which may also cause your organ to have an erection dysfunction. In any case, doctors recommend that the norm should be just a single serving of alcohol. Moreover, some research shows that females may also be affected with the use of alcohol, as their sexual organs may not become lubricated enough for sexual intercourse due to drying effects of alcohol.
Of course, it is also very important to mention that smoking also has severe negative effects on your sexual health. Especially for males, the regular smoking of cigarettes can cause vascular problems which can effect the blood circulation in your sexual organs. This means that you should refrain from smoking in order to keep your sexual performance in peak condition. If you are smoking, quitting it can be very advantageous for you.
